Christmas
Over Sixties Christmas Lunch
This is a very popular annual event held at the Village Hall. Consisting
of a 3-course lunch and an afternoon of varied entertainment, rounded
off with a tea, it is free to everyone over sixty living within the
community. Excellent food, excellent entertainment, excellent company
and a great start to your Christmas celebrations.
Carols Around The Christmas Tree
The Carnival Rose Queen switches on the Christmas lights at the Village
Hall and on the village Christmas Tree at the Christmas Fayre which
is usually held on the last Saturday of November. On the last Sunday
before Christmas the Christmas Tree becomes the venue for Carol singing
accompanied by mulled wine and mince pies, an increasingly popular
event, even in bad weather, and one to surely set the scene for the
Christmas celebrations.
Another regular event has become the winning of a turkey for the Property
Best Decorated To Reflect The Spirit Of Christmas. |
