On the 17th of July the Llandrinio based football team Defaid Du FC of Llandrinio (new name) are hosting their very first 6 a side football competition inviting football teams to come and play in our big day event at Llandrinio. We are hoping for as many as 30 teams taking part attracting many players and spectators.
The local press will be covering the results and we hope to make enough money from this event to run the club for the forthcoming season.
This is a bold attempt at taking our club up a level of self-sustainability and safe guarding ourselves from the near extinction levels we have hovered above in the past.
This is a great club and needs to carry on; sport is great for local young players as well as the village of Llandrinio.
As club manager and founder I am asking local business’s to sponsor this event in the form of finance to pay for winners and runners up Cups. The trophy would incorporate your companies name and be advertised as much as possible locally in the newspapers. The total cost of an engraved Cup and medals would be somewhere between £40-£50.
