Refuse Collections and Recycling

The refuse in the area is collected every Friday morning. Times vary but the Council advises that bin bags should be placed outside by 7.00 a.m. The time at which the refuse collectors arrive in particular areas of the community will vary and bags can be put out accordingly. However, it has been known for them to change their route and arrive earlier than expected. If this happens and you miss the collection you can contact the Welshpool Office on 01938 552828, ask for the Refuse Collection Department and tell them the problem and, so long as the Collectors are still in the area, they will come back for the refuse.

Recycling

In this day and age we should all be aware of the need to recycle as much waste as we can in order to reduce the amount of rubbish going into land-fill. In this respect there is a Recycling Centre at the Village Hall where you can recycle : glass, paper, plastic milk bottles, plastic bags and other plastic containers, cans and materials (old clothes, curtains etc and even shoes).
