Llandrinio Village Hall
The original Village Hall was constructed out of a
sectional ex-Army building in 1921 after land was made available by
the Bryn-y-Pys estate. Since that time a considerable amount of re-build
has taken place, the last being completed in 2000.
Other than the Recreation Field, the main recreational activities
take place at the Village Hall, the focal attraction for the majority
of Clubs and Groups within the community. The Hall has a variety of
facilities including a fully carpetted Meeting Room with full-length
windows looking out to the recreation field and Breidden Hills. It
also has a small bar, ideal for meetings and small family occasions.
The main Hall has the added benefits of having a permanent sound and
lighting system which can be adjusted to individual needs as can the
moveable staging. There is also an office with a photocopier,
laminating machine and computer with internet access, ideal for business
or private use whether it is for research, e-mails, producing posters
or for word-processing. All of this equipment can be used by the public,
subject to a very reasonable fee. In addition, the Village Hall has
a fully-fitted bar, kitchen with cooker, fridge-freezer, dish-washer
and microwave oven. The facilities at the Village Hall also include
two changing rooms and showers plus an Officials changing room. To
book the hall contact Olive Evans on 01938 556680.
The Village Hall Management Committee try to organise
a variety of events throughout the year ranging from Car Boot Sales
to Casino Nights, Whist Drives to Musicals, Bingo Evenings to the
Annual Carnival. The Committee is always looking for new members to
join it!
